card slots not recognized
« on: December 02, 2007, 12:40:52 PM »
We have a one year old Aspire 380 running Vista.  All of a sudden it no longer sees the card slots. The slots are on the front along with firewire and USB which it "sees" just fine.  when you put in a SD photo memory card the green light comes on, but that is all.  Once I put a SD card in and it read it, but that was only once.

Ray Thompson .......  So if you go to "My Computer" , there are no items called ........ removeable disks .........  (there should be one for each of the card readers.)
Go into the device manager and scroll down to Portable Devices.... click on the + in front of Portable Devices to expand that heading and tell us what shows up.
    Please let us know

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
