XP won't boot after gc upgrade
« on: December 02, 2007, 03:10:09 PM »
So, I tried to upgrade my graphics card today. I don't know the specs for either card, but I know both have worked in my unit before. When I tried to turn it on, I got the magical black screen of boot options. I tried them all, none of them went through and it just kept on going back to that miserable screen. I switched the cards back, but it still won't go. Everything I've seen so far tells me to use the Windows XP CD... which I don't have...  :-[ I'm at a loss as for what to do, please help!

So are you saying you have tried these new specs in your mainboard before?
