problem with attaching word 2007 to emails

i have the free trial version of word 2007 that came on my hp computer.I have vista.my problem is when i attach the document to an email it still has all the rulers and help bars etc showing in the attachments.how do i attach just a clean copy that looks like a letter?

Are you saving the doc first and giving it a file name ? ?

yes shows up in my documents as saved
