IPCONFIG Missing

when I go to my CMD prompt I type in ipconfig to see what my ip address is. It says:
'ipconfig is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
what happened? ???

      Try opening the command window from C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe and typing ipconfig again

        I added it to the end of the path and it seems to have fixed my issue, thanks! ::)
