floppy disk (40) failure

At first my computer wasnt recognizing my IDE drives.I unplugged everything and plugged it back in..afterwards it recognizes them but it says secondary slave:none and below it, it says floppy disk (40) failure. so i have no clue whats going on.can someone please help?

You spent time having an avatar and a sig and spent no time providing details on your HDD's setup nor your machine ? ?

The 40 error is usually caused by the floppy cable being backwards by the way.
