system reboot help

ok i just recently decided it was time to reformat my hard drive, went normal till  i had to turn off my PC. now ever time i turn it on it gives me the message checking computer for hardware and then reboots it self im not sure if thats a problem with my CD drive or my hard drive i also contomplated that it might be a problem with my motherboard. please help with my situation im kinda lost with out my pc verry boring lol.

Welcome to the CH forums.

Are you telling us that you formatted your hard drive then installed an operating system?  If so please tell us how, and if booting to your OS is successful and what, if any, error messages are displayed onscreen.  And, of course, what Operating System you are using...
