windows xp wont load---error

just came into work and my compaq r3000 with windows xp pro---hasnt been touched in 3 days ----i turn it on and i get this------a problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the licence for this computer, error code 0x80040017----i click ok and it logs me off----it was working fine when i left-------Please if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated-------merry christmas ----john g [email protected]
