will that work on my laptop if i have another moniter n such? also can i play video games on it, like counter strike:source or diablo 2? if not could anyone point me in the direction of another place that does sell a external video card?  ???

It should work with a laptop, but you'll really have to verify that with the laptop manufacturer or the manufacturer of the device. Laptops are tricky and what works well with one may not work so well with the next.

Games typically display on the primary display only (your built in video card).
