stopid red alert gives an error message
    « on: December 08, 2007, 06:22:00 AM »
     >:(
I got windows xp and I installed red alert (I said to my computer to run in it win95 mod)
but now it gives the following message:

-cannot find the entrypoint of the procedure SmapLS_IP_EBP_12 in DLL-file KERNEL32.dll

I hope I translated it correctly, I'm Dutch and here is the dutch message if it helps

    - kan entrypoint van procedure SMapLS_IP_EBP_12 niet vinden in DLL-bestand KERNEL32.dll

    Topic Edit for content.

        Go Start>Run, type in:
        regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32\kernel32.dll" (watch for "space" after regsvr32)
        Hit Enter.
        Restart.

The first time i tryd it with the "/" he said: C:\Windows\System32\kernel32.dll is loaded, but the entrypoint from DllregisterServer is not founded
The second time i tryd it without them he said:The in the memoryloaded from the liberary (C:\Windows\System32\kernel32.dll) failed - cannot find given module

i think the second time it yust says that I typed it wrong so lets base on the first one... it cannot find the entrypoint what does that mean?

          First command is correct.
Search your computer for kernel32.dll, and see, if you can find it, and where.

Go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...
Have your Windows XP CD handy as it will ask for it.
Let it run to completion and re-boot.

Anything else, besides that game, is not working correctly on your computer?
Do you have Recovery CD, then?

                Ahaaa...now we're getting somewhere.
There's a lot of CD's missing lately. Do you have a restore partition on that machine ? ?

                  No not System Restore.
A partition that contains the restore files for XP for your machine.
Did you not get an XP CD with this machine ? ?
If so where did XP come from ? ?
