finding out Product key for windows XP

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out here. I was trying to created a software catalogue for all the softwares installed onto a several of PCs we've got here in the office.

Some licenses including windows XP or Office are recorded but others don't. My question is whether there is a way of finding out the product keys for windows XP and office installed on PCs.

whem you open an office program, the registered user, and the key will appear on the screen briefley. alternativley if you have the original disk, it will be on the cover somewhere

but the problem is i don't know which product key is for which PCs or i might have misplaced the CD. I still think that perhaps there is a way to retrieve this info out of the PC.
