    Automated Install
    « on: December 13, 2007, 06:52:24 PM »
    Hey, guys...

I have a school project due soon and I was wondering if you could possibly help?

I need to make an answer file that does an automated install of Windows 2000 Professional.

I know I can use the Wizard on the CD, and I did.  However, I have a two issues.

    1)  My teacher says it has to be 100% automated, so what's the command(s) to make it autopartition and autoformat (NTFS).
I think it's something like FileSystem=ConvertNTFS or something, but not 100% sure.

    2)  When I enter the CD and Floppy (floppy has the winnt.sif file on it), I get an error.
The error I get is "Disk I/O Error - 00080000"
The error goes away after I partition the hard drive though.

    Welcome to the CH forums.

Filesystem= Repartition= and Autopartition= are shown on this site.

Note the advice not to insert the floppy until "Windows 2000 Setup" is displayed.

Lots more info on the WWW, Google for Windows 2000 unattended install

    Good luck with your project
