Batch File-Renaming problems
« on: December 14, 2007, 02:15:03 AM »
Hi, I'm trying to rename a bk file of my Database following the example (REFERENCE NUMBER: CH000987
How can I make a batch file rename a file to the date or time? ), but it doesn't work, probably it must be modified for XP /SP2?
The bk file is made every midnight in SUN-Solaris, but the SUN has'nt CD Writer or tape and must be transfered by ftp in Windows. Probably this thing can be made in Solaris too, but the SUN administrator is in holyday.
Could someone help me, please ?

See this link for renaming a file with the date in :
    http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000987.htm

If you script your ftp download, you can give a different name (with the date in) for the local file you download
