Hi,
first time everrrrrr using photoshop 7 did a lovely card on glossy photo paper with colored background and swirl brushes but when I put white lettering on it...some of it looks out of focus??? I am using different font for some of the lettering, could this be it?//

What font are you using that looks out of focus?
What size is it?
Any chance of us seeing what it looks like?
Does it look that way when you print it out as well?

Your problem may simply be that you're not viewing the image at 100%.  It could be zoomed in or out.

You mentioned doing this on glossy photo paper. So is this 'out of focus' problem on the screen or on the paper or both?

If it's just on the paper, you might need to adjust your print settings. When using certain types of paper, the ink settings have to be adjusted or the image will come out blurry or it will bleed.
