Printer problems...
« on: April 14, 2004, 10:15:48 AM »
Hi all, I am having a problem with a HP LaserJet 2100 that I aquired recently. The only connectivity on it is a Hawking Technology network adapter. When I print out to it, it prints out total garbage: the fist page looks like raw postscript text, and then it prints out a lot of blank pages. I just need to know if the printer is busted or if the network card in the printer is to blame. I cannot try out another connectivity method though, as it only has the network connection...

If anyone knows about this kind of problem, some help would be greatly appreciated so I do not have to buy a new printer!!!

    Hi Jeremy.....try this link....
    http://www.hp.com/sbso/bussupport.html

you didnt say but I an assuming you wish to use it as a stand alone.
Also there a various models of the 2100 so if you go to the link above and enter the exact serial number you should be able to D/L the appropriate driver. If that doesnt work, there is a support link to HP that may help.
PS that printer is a discontinued model.
Hope this is of some help.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
