Monitor woes
« on: December 22, 2007, 05:05:33 PM »
Hi, bought a new pc/monitor combo today, 20 inch flatscreen lcd monitor. everything was fine until a couple of hours ago...after booting up, the monitor displays fine, but after a minute or so, it switches to a 'bad' display- colours and brightness go haywire-very, very bright and very washed out. Altering the contrast etc has no effect. Checked the monitor cable, all looks ok, no bent pins etc.

Advice and help welcome!!
cheers
steve

I suggest you try the monitor on another computer. If it still does the same you've most likely got a defective monitor.

It could sound like a defective graphics card then.
Did you alter any display settings before this happened?
