Your help would be appreciated...."refresh question"
« on: January 05, 2008, 05:10:46 AM »
Okay,  I hope I can  communicate this well enough.

I have XP and I use Internet Explorer most of the time.  I use Firefox once in awhile.  But lately I am having to use F5 to refresh the pages on the forums that I regularly go to.  I have rebooted several time and I still have to hit refresh to see the latest updates to the page.  Is there something I can do where this will automatically do it by itself?  This has been going on for about 3 weeks.  I never had this problem before.  I am frustrated.

Yes, this was happening with both browsers.  It does not seem to be happening now.  So, I am hopeful that whatever I did.........it is resolved.  Thank you.

It may be loading cached pages ...when is the last time you emptied your Temporary Internet Files folder ? ?

In Firefox it's under Tools/Options/Privacy...clear cache now.
In IE it's Tools/Options/Temporary Internet Files.
