Winldra has caused an Unknown Error
« on: January 02, 2005, 08:42:25 AM »
I did a bunch of house cleaning on my hard drive

Now when I boot up I get the following Message

"Winldra has caused an Error in Unknown
Winldra will now close please restart"

When I close this message I can proceed as normal.

Does anybody know what I can do to remove this message during computer booting.

This message appeared when I had Windows 98 SE. I have upgraded now to Windows Me and still get the same message.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Marty

Hello Marty.... Well, I honestly do not know what "winldra" is.... Who is your computer manufacturer? Have you contacted them? I'm thinking that this is a registry issue, but I'm not sure...

Go to start > run > msconfig > startup and remove winldra

Hi, I feel almost certain that this must be a virus/trojan/adware or something, just can't find much info about it :( try this:
If c:\windows\system32\winldra.exe exists upload it to
http://virusscan.jotti.dhs.org and see what these virus scanners find.
scan your system with your own virus/trojan & ad/spyware scanners.
Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and see what this finds.
