Whats the point of having so many OSes for diffent use? I use one and its plenty enough. Okey, I understand if one OS goes unstable the second one can be used as a back up  source to get back all your valuable files and information other than that, whats the point?
Its not what you know, its what you can do that counts!

Differnet Operating Systems do different things better.
Here's why I personally would use different OSes...
If I want to do general office stuff or games, I would use Windows.
If I wanted to do web design and programming, I would use linux.
If I wanted to check my email and browse the internet, I would use BeOS.
Each OS gives a different feel for every task, and I just decided I like a certain OS for them. ;)

Some of the programming tools in linux don't work in windows. I like to use Quanta+ when I'm doing web development because it helps fill in tags, functions, variables and other elements. I just haven't found a suitable windows alternative for it.
