To create a Website ...

Hi Guys!
Its me Ivy !
I wanna make a free website , im travlin a lot of places n i want my family to see the places i visit too, for that i need to make this website where i can put up the pictures of the places i visit.
 Now i've seen these  places where we can make websites etc but i wanted to check in CH first and the what is the safest thing to do, i dont want bad advertisment etc or hacking on my website, so i dont only need to know where to make a good website from but also how to make it safe.

You need a website for them to be able to see the pictures?

Have you considered simply attaching the pictures to email, and sending them to your family members?

I would agree with WillyW but if u really need a website then I would say really easy website is freewebs.com. Well at least that's what I use. It's pretty good.

you could get a site on www.geocities.com or www.angelfire.com if you don't want to get into html coding. They have some nice web design tools and they're free too.

If your main requirement is a gallery, MySpace or Facebook are surprisingly realistic options.  For something a bit better (and still free), try Photobucket.

I do need a website also, cause i wanna put up my speeches also,so that they can read them, i want my friends to be able to talk on it etc ..........i actually need a website .
So , which is the safest way to go?

geocities and angelfire both have web design tools available if you don't want to do any html coding. I think they also have predesigned templates available.

I think I know a good site too. It's IS a Dutch site, but I don't know if that's a problem. It's called www.hyves.nl. You can share photo's, video's, make your own blog and most important: IT'S FREE!

I checked it out, but Hyves's only language is Dutch. If you wanna translate the website, you could try this: http://www.freetranslation.com/ It might help.

Just FYI hyves.nl appears to be available in several languages actually. The default language for me is English but you can choose Dutch, French, Spanish and other as well.
