Installation errors
« on: January 03, 2005, 05:47:10 PM »
I'm getting an error message when I try installing something. The following error message comes up:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000142)."

However, when I go through my computer to where the setup file is located and dbl-click it, the setup works. Can anyone help me out here?

Anything.  I can download the setup file, but when I try installing it by hitting the "run" button in the download dialogue box the error message comes up.  However, I can go through "my computer" to where the setup file is located and install it that way.

No, it is just a pop-up message box.

Well, I really do NOT know what exactly is going on.... You might have to reinstall Windows again, but I can't tell you that for sure until its official.... Who is your computer manufacturer?
