    I would like to replace my secondary drive......

    .....with a new one i purchased,do simply swap it using the same settings,slave etc?? Thanks alot.

    Yes.
    The drive will need to be formatted before Windows will see it...use the CD that came with it or DLoad the utilities from the drive manuf. site.
