Windows 2000 Professional - Start up problems
« on: January 12, 2008, 01:07:15 PM »
I am running W2KPro on a Toshiba Portege laptop but, after booting up and logging on, the screen shows only the blank desktop, no icons, no task bar! Nothing!! I can open only Task Manager but there are no applications running anyway.
If I boot up in safe mode it seems ok, please help

Welcome to CH.

Try - Right click on the desktop, click Arrange Icons By, click Show Desktop Icons.

Good luck
