personalized my startup tone

how can i personalized my startup tone everytime i open and close my computer?
thanks for any tips...

Assuming you're using XP, go to control panel>sounds and audio devices. Then go to the sounds tab. Under program events find the sound you want to change (start windows/windows logon) and change it to whatever sound you want. It needs to be a .wav file (ie mp3s won't work)

It can be as long as you want...you'll find it difficult to run anything else however until it finishes.

what audio format will be used to change my startup tone? cause when i try this, the only format there is "sound (*.wav)" and the music that available in this format are the default tones of windows... is there any suggestions?

You're going to have to change the format of the sound you want, I suggest audacity ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ ) and then you'll have to navigate to that folder where its saved and then thats it!
