Taskbar 'show quick launch' disappearing on startup

Hi

The title pretty much says it all but just incase...

When I start Windows I have to right click task bar > properties > show quick launch to show my quick launch icons in the taskbar.

Quite annoying, it never used to do this & has just started 'forgetting' recently.

Can anyone tell me how I can make Windows remember my preference of having my quick launch displayed again?

Apparently, I have to find:

It's not there. I'm guessing because I have XP?

I'm looking at Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Startup/shutdown.

I'm presuming it's Startup, so I right click startup & choose properties? click add then I enter script parameters so do I save the code you gave me as some sort of file somewhere?
