So I bought a new computer case...
« on: January 27, 2008, 03:37:15 PM »
i just purchased one of these baby's:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300192099961&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=020

along with Duel Cathode tubes, and a blue LED Fan (will buy 2 more later)

it says in the desription:
Two (2) Side mounted USB 2.0 ports
Side mounted microphone and headphone jacks

my question is, what kind of wiring will i have to do, to successfully install those things? this is my first after market computer case.

the USB ports on the side of the computer will have a plug on the end that will look like this...

this will plug into the motherboards USB headers. you will need to either look at the manual to find the USB headers, or you can look at the motherboard itself and it should say USB1,2 or 3,4 depending on how many USB ports you have (a single USB header actually holds two USB ports, so you will see two consecutive numbers.)
