mydoom is a worm which installs a 'back door'on your PC through which virus writers can access your PC.It spreads by email,when the attachment is opened it harvests email addresses.It then forwards itself to everyone in your email address book,but the writers have attempted to program it to not send itself to email domains of anti-virus companies & Microsoft.
