Microsoft Excel 2000
« on: February 04, 2008, 10:58:18 AM »
I have the strangest thing happening.  I am on a network server.  We have several different folders on the network.  Well whenever there is just a document floating out there on the network (not in any folder), and whether it is a word, excel or whatever document, when I try to open a excel document excel tries to open all the floating documents first even though I didnt tell it to open any of them.  I think there is a ghost in my computer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This is driving me crazy.

Could you be a tad more specific. All files live in folders (even if it's the root folder). Are these documents in a directory used for repairing documents when Excel could not complete an operation (ex. a macro misfired)?
