Invisible Video Card?
« on: January 29, 2008, 07:07:21 PM »
So.. this game program I am trying to run on my XP here, it complains that I don't have any direct3D set, so I check it out.. and my DirectX-Diagnostics tells me I don't even have a video card!

Now I know this is bogus because I was able to play this game MONTHS ago. It might have to do with a reformatting that we did a short while before christmas, but I'm not sure what to do. I apparantly don't have any direct3D components active, even though I did reinstall the newest version of directX, like, earlier today.

Do I need a driver or something to check on my video card, so I can get direct3D to work again?

If you have onboard video then the drivers will be on the MBoard driver CD that came with the machine.
If you have an addon vid card you should have recieved a driver CD with it.
Either way simply re-install the drivers and you should be good to go.
