Help with xcopy please

I am trying to backup a directory on my C:\ drive to a removeable external drive F:\

When the batch file executes it results in :-

invalid number of perameters
press any key to continue........

This is what I am using :-

@ Echo off
Xcopy C:\Shared Data  f:\ /s/e/y/m

Anyone help please.

put quotes around any path that has, or may have spaces in
