cmd.exe in Task Manager
« on: January 11, 2005, 09:36:07 AM »
Everytime I boot my PC, the 'cmd.exe' continues to run within the Windows Task Manger under Processes tab using all of available CPU pecentage.   After the bootup is complete, I have to 'End Process' to remove from Task Manager.  I do not have any unusual applications or drivers upon startup.

I am running Windows XP Home SP1.  I have run all of the latest greatest adware, spyware and virus removal tools.  Does anybody know what could cause this?  Any help would be appeciated.

Start > Run > msconfig > startup look for it in there? Becareful as it might be a needed system task.
