windows paint on xp not working

I was silly enough to let my 6 yr old daughter loos on my pc she was using paint and now when i try to use txt the text tool box comes up with CHINESE_GB2312 and the txt reads up and down there is a drop down menu but there's nothing  in it can enyone help me change it back PLEASE  ???

    Are you saying that when you use the Text tool in Paint you're stuck with a Chinese font and you're unable to change the font?
    The font drop down menu is blank?
    That really shouldn't be possible to do in paint. Are you sure your daughter didn't do anything outside of paint?

      If your fonts are properly installed they should be shown in C:\Windows\Fonts
      Is this folder empty?
