Hi All
I'm new to the forum and also a bit of a novice so please be kind.
I have  toshiba pro 4600 and wondered how I can find out what the spec of the machine is.The reason for this is that I want to upgrade the operating system to XP and I've been told that it has a minimum requirement?

1.  You can also get your machine's specs by downloading and executing programs that report that information.

For example:

    CPU-Z

    Belarc Advisor

    EVEREST Free Edition 2.20

    SIW (System Info for Windows)


2.  You also need to verify whether:
     o  BIOS needs to be updated for Windows XP
     o  The hardware in the laptop is compatible with Windows XP
