Newly built computer won't POST!!

I built a new computer, (4th one to date), and it won't post.  I have a P5K ASUS M-Board, 2x1gb corsair ram, ati xt2600 PCI-E, 250 GB HDD, 585W Power supply.  When I first put it together, I got it to post but the MB was defective so I had to send it back for an exchange. This board will not post at all and I have no video.  I have gone back through the steps to assemble but still not posting.  I need alittle help with this problem. I've never had a system not post.  Any Ideas!?

Have you tried using just one stick of RAM at a time to see if it posts?
Are the fans spinning when you turn the computer on?
Are you getting any system beeps?

Remove all but the following:
CPU/Fan
1 stick of RAM
Vid card
Monitor
Keyboard and mouse.

Double check all connections including the new 4 and 8 pin power leads.
Is this a new PSU ? ?

Post back with the results...

This is a new build. Everything is brand new.  I took out one ram and disconnected the harddrive and other disk drives. Checked the connections and fired it up. At first this did nothing so I moved the ram to all other locations, nothing.  Pulled that ram and put in the other and it fired right up! I will check that other ram as soon as I get the system fully operational.  More than likely I will be sending that ram back to Newegg.

Thanks for your help! Sometimes it better to have someone to ask, to prevent frustrations.

Excellent. RAM is the most common issue for new systems not posting (or even working systems with RAM upgrades)

Always best to check though... good luck getting it fully up and running
