How to show all information in an email?
« on: February 06, 2008, 06:22:08 AM »
Hi,

I am computer stupid to be blunt so I could use some help please.

I am running Windows XP on a Qwest DSl with MSN.  Recently I had a problem on ebay and forwarded a email from a person I was buying from. Ebay came back asking that I configure the email so it shows all information. I assume this to mean the routers and everything like that so it could be tracked and verified. My emails that I receive do not show this information and I would like to set it up so they do if it is possible.

All I know is that I click onto the mail button to receive my email.

Thanks

What does your email address end in?  (What's after the @?)  Am I correct in assuming that you are using web based email?
Why is this thus?  What is the reason for this thusness?

Ebay was requesting the email I had with the seller because the seller refunded my money and claimed the item was damaged. Later the seller sold everything for more money. Oh, I purchased it on a buy it now and paid with Paypal.

The info for Windows Live Mail seems to work, but not Hotmail.  They keep changing things in Hotmail.  How I long for the days when it was not owned by Microsoft . . . . I'm still digging for a way to view the header info through Hotmail.  Or, you could download Windows Live Mail.  It's a freebie and the instructions WillyW linked to will work.

I must have MSN Hotmail I guess.

Anyway I chose  Mail Display settings and it was already set to full.

        What do I do now?
