my mouse goes off screen

if you all could give some help that would be great. when I move my mouse to the left of the screen, the mouse stops at the border like normal...but when i move right..it goes off screen for a while and i can tell it is off screen because it takes a few inches of the mouse to get it back on screen. why does it do that?

Is this on a laptop or desktop?
On newer laptops that have the larger LCD display if you run a lower resolution than 1024x768, you may encounter this issue. Try changing to  the above resolution and see what happens. Good Luck.

Using your monitor's onscreen controls, resize the image. If you have an LCD, use autoadjust.

what o/s ...what mouse...have you scanned from bugs..lately?~have you updated the graphics card drivers?
