« on: February 10, 2008, 05:37:51 PM »
Hey i'm sure there already is a topic like this and if there is i'm sorry, i'm just getting really angry about overclocking i have ready hundreds of pages and forums about it and am still very confuzzed and need some help. I read pages that say you start by overclocking the fsb and they never say how to start or do it now i'm not sure if it's my hardwear that's to blame it may well be as its part of a package deal from MAXDATA , my specs are

Intel core 2 duo E6420 2.13GHz 4mb
ASUS P5LD2-VM 4.00 mATX i945G LGA775
2GB ram
7600GT

Please somebody help me before i go completly insane

what are you trying to overclock?
what gains do you expect from your system after the overclock?

the thing you would want to overclock is the gpu...
      or get a better one...
you can over clock the cpu various ways.
      burning in.
      changing the voltages.
      incresing the mhz.
but you need to be very expierienced before you do anything...
there are many other ways to do this also.
but you can seriously damage many things if you dont do it right
