    I downlaoded some linux applications, how do I install them??  Sorry I'm a windows user and haven't gotin used to knoppix yet. 
    Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!

      Depends on what you've downloaded...
      The most general thing I can say is to follow the installation instructions for the software in question.

            That numbers off,  But what would your basic info be?  Not everyone sees the same way at the same thing.  The pc info or about the programs themself.

              Honestly.... this is pretty obvious. If you need help installing a piece of software I need to know what software it is, the OS + version of OS, what you've tried so far, what instructions you've followed.

                knoppix 5.1,budget linux, banal I look threw the files but I dont rember where I got the files so I haven't really tried anything else.

                  I suggest you remember where you got the programs. The installation instructions are often on the website.

                      Can't find the site.  Is there any way to tell in the files or should I get them replaced?  Download new files to replace these.

                          Have you try googling it? Im sure there are hundreds of sites that provides howto's for us newbies... Though I myself is having a hard time followin them.. ;D
