System32 file corrupted
« on: January 17, 2005, 02:40:58 PM »
Here is a problem I encountered lately:  Someone called in and said their computer will not boot up and the only thing it  says is system32 error.  They had not used it in the last two weeks and when they went to turn it on it, it had that message.   I was not too sure how to handle this.  It had XP.  I told her to restart it and see if it does it again or any options are available, but she said no.  I just told her that her best bet was to get XP install CD and use that to correct the problem.

Any other suggestions or help on this topic would be wonderful.
Thanks to all
