Moving RAID 0 SATA drives to a new computer
« on: February 23, 2008, 05:49:27 PM »
Does anyone know is there is a solution for transferring a RAID 0 setup from one computer to another? I had a motherboard crash on one computer and I do not have the backup for the RAID 0 data. I want to transfer 2 SATA drives set at RAID 0 to a new computer. I only need for them to be read, not to set them as a boot drive.

i do not believe you can recover the data on the two SATA hds. what you could try though, is to add a third harddrive and install it as the boot drive. then set the other two as data disks and attempt to rebuild the RAID 0 array. i dont really think it will work, but it might be worth a shot.
