    Computer fails to power up after sleep mode

    Help..

    I have an E-Machines computer 3 yr old.  When in sleep mode it will not
    power back up.  The machine turns off and will not restart (when I move the mouse to restart)   I have to unplug the power cord and wait 10 min.  It will then restart.
    Other details..
    E-Machines T6420
    AMD Athalon Processor
    2.2GHZ
    896 MB Ram

    Any ideas??

    When did this start ?
    Did it ever work properly ?
    Any new hardware added ?
    And finally are there any power saving features turned on in the BIOS ?

      Hi,

      Yes it did work properly.  No, there is no new hardware added.  Not sure how to check for the power saving features in BIOS.  Any simple way to confirm this setting?
