how to save videos and pictures to a DVD

I have hp media center m1270n (XP) with  lightscribe doublelayer 16xdvd=/- with CD writer capabilites.How do I save pictures and video (allready on my computer) to a DVD? I cant copy to,send to or cut and paste to DVD.
