C, and D are separate hard drives, or one hard drive with two partitions?

Try one more registry fix: http://technize.com/2007/11/02/if-opening-my-computer-drives-does-not-open-drive-contents/
Download file Drive.reg, and double click on it.

            Open Windows Explorer
            Go Tools/Folder Options/View

Put a check at “Show hidden files and folders”
Remove check from “Hide extensions for known file types”
Remove check from “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)”
            Click OK

Now look in the root of the drive C
Can you see a file Autorun.inf?
If so, rename it to a Autorun.bak.

            Reboot and check if fixed.

Root drive is just your C drive (I assume, Windows are installed on C drive).
In Windows Explorer, click ONCE on C in left pane, and look for Autorun.inf in right pane.

Well, then we're stuck. I think, some of your system files got corrupted, so we need that CD. Can you borrow it from a friend?

$9.95 is pretty steep price for a program, which claims to be good for removing just one particular virus, especially when there are programs, which will do it for free.
