dwwin.exe
« on: February 21, 2008, 03:57:47 PM »
I keep seeing this error message when shutting down my computer (dwwin.exe). This has been happening for a while now and it doesn't happen every shut down. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Info on my system... HP Pavilion a330n, Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600), 2.15 gigahertz AMD Athlon XP, 960 Megabytes Installed Memory.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It looks like Adobe Acrobat Reader conflict with Dr. Watson. Read here:

Thanks for the info Broni. I un-installed Adobe Acrobat Reader and replaced it with Foxit Reader 2.2 which is much faster than Adobe Acrobat Reader. So far the message has disappeared when shutting down. I'll update this thread if a few days to let everyone know how it goes.  :)

I still get the same message every now and then but for the most part it's gone.  :)

DLoad and install CCleaner and use the "issues" tab to clean out any remnants of Adobe...

Patio your suggestion on running CCleaner to get rid of the remnants of Adobe did the trick. I've restarted several times and haven't had the error message once! Thanks for your help patio and Broni!  ;D
