    My computer wont boot.

    its stuck on the bios phase then this message will apear"IDE drives instalation error
    for best reliability and preformance please change stand alone slave drive to master.

    What happens when you re-jumper your slave drive ?

      Here is a picture.See the Master/Slave Selector?Use a jumper to set the drive to master.

        I don't know . A local store where you are at may carry them.
        Usually any small computer shop,or a friend will gladly give you
        one.You should have Master/CS,or Cable Select,and Slave settings
        printed on your drive.

          im using a maxtor 3.5 series.
