Go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...have the CD handy.
Let it run to completion and re-boot.

I ran it through and it did not do anything before or after the reboot. What was it supposed to do?

What do I do now if it doesn't do anything dramatic/out of the ordinary?

Now what do I do, just wait for Nvidia to upgrade their drivers?

Some success today, I was able to play Oblivion from the DVD drive without any BSOD. I cannot rip/play my Megadeath CD, or any CD. When I try to play Test Drive Unlimited, it just goes to a black screen and freezes.

I installed the drivers for the mobo from Nvidia's website instead of the CD, have not tried the USB drive yet, or any other games either.
