I need to boot my XP from floppy and to recognize my c: drive when I boot

My hard drive is corrupt and I can't use my dvd to repair my c drive. I need procedures to create a floppy boot drive to the point that I get a c prompt . I used several methods on the internet but when I boot it takes me into a drive.
