I cant open links

I cant open links on some web pages just by clicking on the link i have to right click then open in new window. how can i solve this , its only been doing it for the last week or so.

Sorry i'm using windows xp home and i'm on sky broadband.

Just to eliminate some possibilities, download, and install Firefox browser: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/, and see, if links work OK.
What Internet Explorer version do you have? In IE, click Help>About Internet Explorer, and it'll tell you.

Thanks for help , its sorted now,  i mentioned it at work. what happened is i had a windows update and the pop up blocker defaulted to high  ive reset to med and i can now access links.

IE wouldn't need the extra security if everyone could just get along, not cause problems, and not feel the need to be variably evil. To prevent future occurrences of this problem, I propose that Computer Hope launch a World Peace and Morality campaign, so that there will be no need for online security.
