Weird page when you first run FF 3 Beta 5

I just installed FF 3 Beta 5. I love it. But when I saw this page, two words started swimming in my mind. Those words were "kids website". It's just the colors and the picture on the right.

What do you think?

I agree. They're certainly not doing a very good job of making people take it seriously

They're code writers for cryin out loud...the most boring job there is and they cut loose a little on an announcement web page...so what ? ?
Give em' a break.
After all they've provided a quality product for 20 years all for Free !

Yup, you see that page on every update you do.

I thought it was rather entertaining... they changed it though, I like the old robot they had.

the beta should be taken seriously but the debuggers should be most serious. I wonder why mozilla does not make an attempt to make the blue-ish color of the browser on vista go away?

We're not saying the page has problems in terms of coding or not appearing correctly. It's the idea of WHY mozilla decided to design the page the way it did for the beta 5 release. And yes, why not make it kiddie friendly so it feels more like a kid's toy so it'll make the web more 'fun' and so the app essentailly becomes a 'fun' gadget? ^_^

I'm not really saying that it's "bad". The colors are good. But it just looked strange to me.

Or maybe it was just the mood I was in that day.

Other than that, it's a great product. I tip my hat to Mozilla.

to me it might be alright if the blue background was ridden of completely.

I like the new theme in FireFox. Personally, its easy to follow, and easy to look at.

(and, I like Vista... I honestly dont think it was designed to be Vistatized or to go with Vista... they really are quite different)

But I have to agree with Zylstra. I doubt it was to go with the default Vista theme.
