Using Erdnt Restore Function From XP
    « on: April 17, 2008, 05:10:36 PM »
I am trying to restore a XP OS where the drive letter got changed and wouldn't boot. I do have an Erunt backup in that windows directory that I can access. Can I run that Erdnt restore from another XP OS on a different drive and will it just restore the registry of the windows that it is located in only. In other words, it won't mess up the OS registry I'm running it from. It seems like it should work ok am I right?

No, registry is specific to the particular machine.

    Repair Install of XP

NOTE: If that XP CD doesn't have a bunch of fancy holograms all over it and say Microsoft all bets are off......
