    reset motherboard by removing battery/jumper?

    can i reset it by only remove CMOS battery for a while?
    what about only remove the CMOS jumper only?
    what are the difference?

      Your post isnt clear.  But removeing the jumper will clear out any password on the BIOS an  removing the battery will set the BIOS to its default settings.
      Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!

      Depends on the model. You're jumping to conclusions, Squall.

      Full hardware specs? Especially motherboard model. What exactly is the problem that you think you need to reset the CMOS? More info please.

          i just want to know what is the difference.
          I just want experiment it,what would happend.
          because according to spec, it ask me to remove battery 1st,then reset jumper to clear CMOS settings.
          but i just remove jumper, and it also done,CMOS reset.

            Dear Friend,
                            The change of the position of the jumper will make the BIOS of the mainboard restore to its setting of production.
